Sir Richard Branson got introduced to two SheEO Ventures at the launch of the Canadian Entrepreneurship Initiative in Ottawa, which aims to change the face of entrepreneurship in Canada. Hayley Mullins and Ashley Wade, Co-Founders of 2016 SheEO Venture Sleepbelt were able to show him the Sleepbelt and snap a quick photo! 2016 SheEO Venture Satya Organics was gifted to all attendees as well!

2016 SheEO Venture Sabrina Mutukisna and her team at The Town Kitchen recently catered lunch for the Salesforce Women’s Network in San Francisco where Vicki was giving a talk. Founder of 2015 SheEO Venture Magnusmode, Nadia Hamilton is one of a new generation of passionate change-makers profiled in CBC’s new series We Are Canada. Watch the series Sundays at 7 p.m. on CBC and online.

SheEO 2016 Venture Kitables just launched their DIY Kit Club on Kickstarter! Learn to build robots and other cool stuff like ukuleles and bluetooth speakers at home. Kitables is encouraging more people to be builders in this world so their monthly kits will not be field specific; everything from chemistry to cooking to woodworking and more! Check out the new campaign on Kickstarter!”

500+ Women at Toronto City Hall for #TWEF17

It was amazing to see 500 women fill up Toronto City Hall Council Chambers for the first time ever this past June! The day was filled with so much heart and determination. A highlight was the Practicing Radical Generosity session where 100+ asks for support were made by attendees, and over 300 gives were offered, with more still pouring in. It’s amazing what happens when women support each other. A big thank you to our extended community for helping us make #TWEF17 such an amazing day.
