What happens when you introduce 1,000 teenage girls to 3,000 radically generous women?
Mind-blowing insight into transformative career and working possibilities, a radically better world, and a generation of young women who step into the workforce rightfully believing they have all that it takes to thrive on their own terms.
And that’s just for starters.
We are thrilled to tell you about our just-launched RadGen program which will be rolling out in 100 Ontario high schools this fall. Girls in grades 10 – 12 will have the opportunity to make history as they take their place alongside the thousands of women in the SheEO network who already support women-owned Ventures that make a positive difference in the world.
RadGen is based on the SheEO model of Radical Generosity. Not only will girls grow their network and develop an entrepreneurial mindset through live events, learning modules, online resources, and mentorship, they’ll get real-world experience as each RadGen group exercises their vote in selecting this year’s SheEO Ventures.
Space in this year’s pilot project is limited to 1,000 participants. The 2018 program kicks-off with an event held in Toronto on October 30th. Participating schools will be invited to send 5-10 teens to hear from women who are innovators, business leaders, and industry disruptors, all of whom are creating new career and working possibilities.
Get Involved
There are plenty of reasons why this program matters and why you should consider getting involved but the reason that matters most is yours.
It could be that you want to be a role model or help create a generation of role models so that girls no longer doubt that they are as smart as boys.
Maybe you feel passionately about creating a model and a movement that finances and celebrates women-led ventures and you want to inspire and empower young women to consider what such a movement could mean for them.
Or maybe it’s because you can imagine what your life would have been like, could have been like, if, back when you were in high school, you had had the support of thousands radically generous women telling you that you actually can define success on your own terms, then showing you how. (And by the way, even if you missed the opportunity back then, those women are here and more than happy to help you now.)
This entire program is designed by women and teens for women and teens. It is ours to share, amplify, grow and engage with. Whatever your reason to get involved, we would love your help to get schools and teachers throughout the province to register for RadGen.
- Share it on social media
- Tell your daughter/neighbour, niece about the Gender Gap challenge and why RadGen matters
- Encourage a grade 10-12 girl you know to get four (or more) friends together and learn how they can bring RadGen to their school. (It’s easy!)
- Tell a teacher, school administrator or school board representative about how amazing RadGen would be for his or her school and send them this link.
- Become an online mentor
