- GoGo Events founder Sarah Gun shared an article about gender lens investing and said her social enterprise has reaped the benefits of funding and deep support from SheEO. “The time is now to invest in women and non-binary led businesses and organizations,” she wrote.
- Neighbourlytics co-founders Lucinda Hartley and Jessica Christiansen-Franks are participating in the 2022 global cohort of the SBE Global Tech accelerator program.
- Super Fierce has launched a scalable advice platform to “address the $30 trillion global gender wealth gap, after closing a $1.5 million seed round and generating $137,000 of revenue while bootstrapped and in beta.” The company is already a quarter of the way to its goal of saving women $100 million in lifetime superannuation fees by July 2022.
- Verve Super has launched a free three-step money course. “It’s a guide to reflecting on what you’ve achieved, resetting your spending priorities and reframing your finances for the year ahead.”
- World’s Biggest Garage Sale founder Yasmin Grigaliunas will be speaking at the NORA Sustainable Retail GO! conference on May 26.

- Aisle co-founders Suzanne Siemens and Madeleine Shaw were included in a list of 29 women who are leading the modern menstrual movement.
- Cooks Who Feed has launched a Mother’s Day Better Box featuring a variety of products made by Canadian companies that are operated in “an ethical and transparent way that considers both people and the planet.”
- Fan/Joy founder Pamela Fanjoy reflected on the past year since joining SheEO. “The amazing women leaders and entrepreneurs that I have met, co-created with, collaborated with and leaned on during this crazy pandemic year of implementing a whole new business model, relocating my business, and formally closing my restaurant has been enriching beyond measure.”

- Sisters Sage CEO Lynn-Marie Angus will participate in a panel on activating your entrepreneurial mindset hosted by UBC on April 7.
- Skipper Otto is one of 26 seafood industry stakeholders to sign a letter calling on the federal government to commit to a timeline and plan to fulfill its mandate to implement boat-to-plate traceability for seafood in Canada.
- STEM Minds has been selected for the fourth cohort of Eduspaze, Singapore’s first edtech accelerator. “We are on a mission to build a world where every child has the opportunity to be STEM literate. New Zealand
- The superfood drinks from Chia Sisters are a favourite of Bronwyn Hayward, political scientist and lead author on a recently released report by the United Nation’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). “It’s an organic, women’s brand and it really got me through two weeks of all night meetings on Zoom,” she said.

- BelleVie is part of the Institute of Health & Social Care Management’s People Plan and participated in its launch at the Palace of Westminster.
- Fat Macy’s has opened Sohaila, a Lebanese-inspired restaurant, natural wine bar and bottle shop, in London’s Shoreditch area.
- Generation Medics has had a busy month of March, including partnering with the official National Careers Week which ran from March 7-12.
- MeeToo Education shared some highlights from its participation in Expo 2020 Dubai.
- Safe & the City spoke at the Bloom Presents event on International Women’s Day. Founder Jillian Kowalchuk shared her story of growing the company and highlighted achievements in the four years since the company launched.
United States
- Brown Toy Box founder Terri-Nichelle Bradley was profiled by Bloomberg. “What we’re really trying to do on a bigger level is disrupt generational poverty,” she said.
- COI Energy founder SaLisa Berrien, a 2018 alum of Morgan Stanley’s in-house startup accelerator, was featured by the company in a list of women founders who have raised more than $1 million. The company has raised $3.1 million thus far.
